I think I’ve done one or two weekly wrap-ups that have not been consecutive, so ... why not a third?! It’s been a wild week in Oakland A’s baseball. A lot of good, book-ended by two lopsided losses — which weren’t as terrible as some losses earlier in the season! So in general, things were up for the green and gold as we spurt on into July, creeping closer to the ASG break.
You win some, you lose some. Monday saw Ryan Buchter’s first appearance since he was placed on the DL, while Daniel Mengden (sprained right foot) was officially placed on the 10-day DL Wednesday, retroactive to June 24.
