Elephant Rumblings: Rockies series finale, Miller gaining hype, Coliseum sold

Happy Thursday everyone!

The Athletics lost a close one last night, falling to the Colorado Rockies in 12 innings. It was a frustrating game in a lot of ways, namely the inability to take advantage of the few opportunities the team had against the Colorado pitching staff. They were given runners in scoring position two times and failed to score in the 10th and 11th innings, then scored a run in the 12th only when the Rockies had struck first. Add in the fact the starting pitcher lasted less than three innings and the bullpen was fantastic, and you can see why it was a disappointing game.
