Elephant Rumblings: Dodgers’ 11-run inning sets MLB postseason record

Good morning, Athletics Nation!

The Atlanta Braves were rolling through the 2020 MLB postseason. They won their first seven games, including sweeps of the first two rounds against the Reds and Marlins and then their first two meetings with the Los Angeles Dodgers in the NLCS. Along the way they allowed only 13 runs in those seven contests.

The Dodgers finally stopped Atlanta’s streak on Wednesday in Game 3, and did so in historic fashion. In the 1st inning they dropped 11 (eleven) runs, which set an all-time postseason record for scoring in any inning.
