Happy Monday, Athletics Nation! A very feliz Cinco de Mayo, as well.
Today, the A’s have journeyed port to port, having narrowly averted a series loss in Miami and looking to do damage against the AL West leading Seattle Mariners. This is a very long voyage by sea, so I assume the A’s traveled by plane though that does not lend itself to the maritime theme I am trying to develop here. Oh well.
The A’s have played very well since mid-April and are now in second place behind the Mariners, so there’s much for A’s fans to celebrate at the moment.
