NEW YORK — The A’s need a spark on offense.
Entering Friday night’s game against the Yankees, the A’s had scored more than three runs just twice in the past 11 games. But help may be on the way.
Dustin Fowler arrived to the A’s hot, batting .310 with three home runs and eight stolen bases at Triple-A Nashville. While he hopes to bring his hot-hitting way to the lineup, perhaps the more intriguing attribute for manager Bob Melvin comes in his abilities on the base paths.
“He was a guy that really showed us in spring training he was a true base stealer,” Melvin said.
