OAKLAND, Calif. -- The A's reinstated designated hitter Khris Davis from the 10-day disabled list and optioned right-handed pitcher Carlos Ramirez to Triple-A Nashville on Thursday.
Davis was batting .235 with 13 home runs and 38 RBIs and had started each of Oakland's first 47 games before he was placed on the DL on May 23, retroactive to May 21, with a strained right groin. He is tied for eighth in the American League in home runs and RBIs and his 98 home runs over the past three years are the most in the Majors.
