TORONTO -- Khris Davis put the Athletics ahead on Thursday at Rogers Centre with his 13th home run of the season, a two-run shot to the opposite field in the third inning.
The clout put him in a tie for the Major League lead in both home runs and RBIs (38). He now has four home runs in his last seven games.
The 94.4-mph two-seamer from Blue Jays starter Aaron Sanchez was up and over the plate, and Davis got all of it. His 391-foot homer left the bat at 104.
