HOUSTON - Even last year, when Dallas Keuchel wasn’t at his best, he still handled the A’s with easy, and now that the Astros left-hander is back to his usual all-world form, Oakland had little shot Sunday.
Keuchel allowed just three hits in 7 2/3 innings at Minute Maid Park to drive Houston’s 7-2 win over the A’s. The first-place Astros took the series two games to one.
The 2015 Cy Young winner is now 5-0 with a 1.21 ERA. Last year, when Keuchel went 9-12 with a 4.55 ERA and had his season cut short by shoulder inflammation, he still put up a 2.
