Two prominent Bay Area sports broadcasting figures have expressed support for A’s commentator Glen Kuiper after he seemed to say a racial slur during a game broadcast on Friday.
NBC Sports California suspended Kuiper indefinitely Saturday in the wake of the incident.
First was Mike Krukow, the Giants color commentator. Krukow is the longtime broadcasting partner of Duane Kuiper, who is Glen’s brother. Speaking with KNBR on Monday, Krukow said that “Glen Kuiper horribly misspoke. And because of that, there were a lot of people that were hurt, and there were a ton of people that were disappointed.
