OAKLAND -- The A's are hoping to see some reinforcements come off the disabled list soon.
Before Friday night's series opener against the Twins, manager Bob Melvin said that right-hander Jharel Cotton is scheduled to start Monday against the Giants. Cotton has been on the disabled list since July 7 with a blister on his right thumb.
In addition to Cotton, infielder Chad Pinder will play another game or two for Triple-A Nashville on a rehab assignment for a left hamstring strain, but Melvin said there's a "good chance" he'll return to the roster for the four-game home-and-home Interleague series.
