OAKLAND -- A's designated hitter Ryon Healy calls him "a living highlight reel." Right-hander Jharel Cotton couldn't decide on just one play that was his favorite.
Talk to anyone in the A's clubhouse, and they're all amazed by what Matt Chapman was able to do defensively at third base in slightly more than half a season's worth of games.
"It's natural for him," first baseman Matt Olson said.
Outfielder Khris Davis added, "It's fun to watch his arm. He's a special player."
"His defensive metrics, any one that you look at, is off the charts," manager Bob Melvin said.
