Chapman ejected after incident at home plate

OAKLAND -- A's third baseman Matt Chapman was ejected in the fourth inning of Wednesday's matinee with the Angels following an exchange with opposing catcher Juan Graterol.

As Chapman stepped into the box, he had some words with Graterol, bringing home plate umpire Mike Everitt in the middle of them. Communication between the two players did not cease, however, and the rookie Chapman was tossed for the first time in his young Major League career.

It's unclear what sparked the argument, but another A's player, Mark Canha, also appeared to have an issue with Graterol during his second-inning at-bat.
