CLEVELAND - With many of the A’s veterans struggling, especially those signed as free agents over the winter, the prospects grow of the team going with all, well, prospects.
And Chad Pinder is doing nothing to tamp down that possibility. The rookie launched two more homers in Oakland’s 3-1 victory over the Indians on Wednesday, recording his first career three-hit game. And 25-year-old starter Sean Manaea was splendid, allowing just three hits and one run to help the A’s snap a four-game losing streak.
Manaea has worked seven innings in each of his past two outings, giving up seven hits, two walks and one run in that span, while striking out 17.
