Many of the current A’s relievers likely will not be relievers for the A’s in 2018. Bullpens tend to turn over a lot and in chatting with Ken and Vince on the radio broadcast Tuesday night, David Forst hinted that strengthening the bullpen would, once again, be an off-season priority.
However, at the very moment there are many A’s relievers potentially in the mix for next season and so I am going to group them, as I see fit, on my brand spanking new, just invented as I write this now, 5-tiered rating system. If I could remember, for the life of me, how to type that trademark thingy, I would assign this rating system a fancy name such as “The Nico 5-Tiered Reliever Rating System,” I would slap that trademark thingy on at the end, start referring to it casually by its clever acronym (N5TR2S?
