Big changes ahead overnight for A’s in heading to Seattle

ARLINGTON, Texas – The weather from Sunday to Monday couldn’t be much more different for the A’s.

They’re playing in sunny 90-degree temperatures in the Metroplex in Sunday’s finale against the Rangers, then they scoot off to Seattle, where it will be about 45 degrees when the plane lands and in the 50s and raining for much of Monday and Tuesday.

Safeco Field has a moveable roof, of course, so there’s no danger of the games not being played, although A’s manager Bob Melvin, whose first managerial job was in Seattle, calls the roof “the umbrella.”

Changes are afoot for the A’s in completing their road trip.
