Sixteen years later, Bay Area teams and athletes honored the lives lost on 9/11 in heartfelt messages posted Monday to Twitter.
The Warriors, Giants, A’s and Sharks were among those who commemorated the terrorist attacks Sept. 11, 2001. Others included Raiders coach Jack Del Rio, Giants outfielder Christian Arroyo, A’s pitcher Chris Bassitt, Raiders long snapper Jon Condo, Raiders linebacker K.J. Brent and former Giant Jeremy Affeldt.
