Jackson, who is in camp competing for an Opening Day job as a non-roster invitee, doubled twice and drove in three runs for the Tribe. He put the Indians on the board with an RBI double to left off A's starter Andrew Triggs in the first inning, and he added a two-run double to right-center off reliever Liam Hendriks in the fourth.
"One thing that has kind of stood out in a really positive manner is his bat speed and his aggressiveness at the plate," said Indians bench coach Brad Mills. "He's always been a little aggressive -- I understand that -- but to see that aggressiveness right away, in his first few games when he plays, is pretty cool.
