After finishing off their third straight series victory over an American League West rival on Wednesday, the Athletics move on the National League West’s Arizona Diamondbacks tonight at Sutter Health Park in West Sacramento.
Getting the start tonight for the A’s is 27-year-old lefty Jacob Lopez. He’ll face Anthony DeSclafani for the Diamondbacks.
Lawrence Butler and Nick Kurtz led off the bottom of the first with singles. Brent Rooker drove in the first run of the game with a sacrifice fly, scoring Butler. Then Shea Langeliers cleared the bases with a homer to left field.
