OAKLAND – The Oakland Athletics reinstated outfielder Stephen Piscotty from the injured list amid a flurry of roster moves Saturday.
Five players were involved, including shortstop Franklin Barreto, pitchers Ryan Dull and Andrew Triggs, and catcher Dustin Garneau.
Garneau, who has spent parts of five seasons in the majors, including 19 games with the 2017 A;s, was claimed off waivers from the Los Angeles Angels. To make room on the 40-man roster, Dull was designated for assigment.
Triggs, who had been designated for assignment Wednesday, was released. Barreto was optioned to Triple-A Las Vegas.
Garneau, 31, had two stints with the Angels this season, batting .
