A’s Yonder Alonso leaves after being hit on wrist

Yonder Alonso, just back into the A’s lineup after missing three games with a slight knee sprain, was hit on the right wrist by a pitch from Miami’s Jarlin Garcia on Tuesday night and he left the game after the inning.

Alonso, among the league leaders in homers with 13, appeared to be in significant pain after being hit by the pitch from Garcia, who was just into the game in relief of Jose Urena, and he walked to the dugout with a trainer before turning around and going to first to run for himself.
