A's catcher Josh Phegley made history Friday night by becoming the first catcher in franchise history with eight RBI in a game. That's a lot. His current total of 21 is the most by a catcher in Major League Baseball so far this season.
"I've been telling guys I had a really good month today out here," Phegley told MLB Network after the A's dominated the Pirates 14-1.
The Green and Gold hope their domination continues Saturday night, when they send Chris Bassitt against Pittsburgh's Trevor Williams in the second game of the three-game series at PNC Park.
