MIAMI - As the A’s youth movement continues now at the big-league level, playing time for some veterans is dipping substantially.
Trevor Plouffe was not at third base again Wednesday, and he got just one start in six games on the road trip after opening the season as an everyday player. Second-year player Ryon Healy is getting the majority of time at third.
With Jaycob Brugman’s callup Friday, Rajai Davis also has seen his time cut; he has started three games on the six-game trip and was on the bench for Wednesday’s finale in Miami.
