The A’s poked fun at the Indians’ 14-game win streak last season, and boy did it backfire Tuesday.
The Indians’ social media team tracked down an A’s tweet from last July and totally roasted Oakland over it — while Cleveland is amid a win streak that Monday tied the historic 2002 A’s at 20 straight victories.
Oakland’s tweet from the afternoon of July 2 is now, according to the Indians, in the “Did Not Age Well Hall of Fame.”
The A’s seemingly jinxed the Indians last summer with their tweet referring to Oakland’s 2002 team. After an Edwin Encarnacion homer that put the Blue Jays up 3-1 in the first inning — en route to Toronto’s 9-6 win to halt the Indians’ streak — the A’s wrote this…
