On-and-off again A’s utility infielder Adam Rosales is off to yet another team, while team ace Sonny Gray remains in limbo with two hours remaining before the non-waiver trade deadline.
With versatile rookie Chad Pinder about to come off the disabled list, Oakland traded Rosales to Arizona on Monday in exchange for minor-league right-hander Jeferson Mejia. The Diamondbacks were in need of an extra infielder because Chris Owings has a fractured finger and Ketel Marte is expected to go bereavement leave after the death of his mother.
