A’s stun Yu Darvish again on behalf of Andrew Triggs, 4-2

OAKLAND – Andrew Triggs couldn’t pitch much better than this. The A’s offense couldn’t hit much worse, at least for five innings.

But with Triggs stuck on the short end of a 2-0 score in the sixth inning, Adam Rosales roughed up Yu Darvish with a game-tying homer and the A’s bats rose from dormant to dominant. The A’s scored four times in the sixth en route to a 4-2 win that ended a four-game Oakland losing streak.

Not bad for a team that had sent the minimum number of hitters, 15, to the plate in the first five innings.
