MESA, Ariz. – The A’s likely will not get results on the exam starter Sonny Gray underwent Monday in Chicago until Tuesday.
Gray, who was surprised by an MRI last week that showed a late strain in his right arm, met with orthopedic specialist Dr. Anthony Romeo to have his right arm checked out.
“We haven’t heard anything back yet,” manager Bob Melvin said before the A’s night Cactus League game with the Arizona Diamondbacks.
The A’s shut Gray down for three weeks back on March 9, and have scratched him from his expected opening day start, which will now go to Kendall Graveman.
