Considering all the trade rumors about Sonny Gray, his start Wednesday against Tampa Bay could be his last in an A’s uniform at the Coliseum.
Actually, before his outing Friday night against Cleveland, there had been a report that Oakland had dealt Gray. That report, of course, was inaccurate.
“He was traded before the game, if I’m not mistaken,” A’s manager Bob Melvin cracked in his pregame news conference Wednesday. “From what I understood, we had scratched him. We even had to make an announcement that he was actually starting on the day that he was starting.
