OAKLAND — The A’s used a four-run sixth inning highlighted by a clutch two-out single by Stephen Piscotty en route to a 6-4 win over the Los Angeles Angels Saturday at the Coliseum, snapping a four-game losing streak.
The A’s improved 35-36 with a rare win over a division opponent, having lost six straight and 12 of 13 to teams in the American League West coming in.
Sean Manaea (6-6) was the winning pitcher for the first time since May 14, going six innings and giving up three runs, all in the fifth on a three-run home run to Chris Young.
