A’s shake things up with lineup after recent struggles on offense

OAKLAND — When things are going bad, sometimes you need to change things up.

That’s A’s manager Bob Melvin’s philosophy after the first seven games of this current 10-game home stand has seen the A’s score just 12 runs in 64 innings.

Matt Chapman, who has just two hits in his last 26 at-bats, was moved from up to the two-spot for Tuesday night’s game against the Tampa Bay Rays.

Mark Canha, who usually hits lower in the order was moved up to the clean up spot, where Matt Olson has usually been hitting with Khris Davis currently on the disabled list with a groin strain.
