MESA, Ariz. - Sean Doolittle will be the final A’s reliever to make his spring debut Tuesday, when the left-hander is scheduled to pitch against the Rockies at Hohokam Stadium.
Doolittle has spent time on the disabled list in each of the past three seasons, including two-plus months last season, so the team is trying to ease him into the spring and minimize his workload.
The A’s will get their first look Sunday at former Giants closer Santiago Casilla, who spent the first nine years of his career in Oakland’s organization.
“We’re all excited about having him here,” manager Bob Melvin said.
