The Athletics recalled infielder Max Muncy from Triple-A Las Vegas and optioned infielder C.J. Alexander to Las Vegas, the club announced today.

Muncy began the season on the major league roster, even making his major league debut starting at second base on Opening Day. He struggled in his first taste of the major leagues, slashing just .176/.211/.279 with just one home run.
