The Athletics announced a roster move just a few hours before their game against Seattle, promoting rookie starter Joey Estes for tonight’s start against the Mariners:

This’ll be Estes’ first call up of the season as the young right-hander began the season in Triple-A. Estes, one of the players acquired from the Braves for former Athletic Matt Olson, started last season in Double-A but would make his big league debut in a quick cup of coffee during September.
