In announcing their 2018 schedule Tuesday, the A’s are celebrating their 50th anniversary in Oakland in a big way by offering free admission to one of their games.
They’ll also turn back the clock and play a real “Opening Day” on Thursday, March 29 when they start the season against the Los Angeles Angels at 1:05 p.m. It will be just the A’s second day home opener in the last 41 years. The next night the A’s will honor their greatest 50 players.
But it’s the April 17 game against the White Sox that may be their most anticipated home game for many.
