OAKLAND — Going through their best stretch of baseball, the A’s are expecting to get some reinforcements for their depleted starting rotation soon.
Brett Anderson (left shoulder strain) made his third minor league rehab start Tuesday night and looked sharp, allowing just two runs on four hits and two walks while striking out five batters over 5 2/3 innings of work. A’s manager Bob Melvin said the club will decide whether or not Anderson needs one more rehab start in the next couple of days, meaning he could potentially rejoin the club during their upcoming road trip at Cleveland over the weekend.
