A’s Recap: Hahn, Alonso Roughed Up In Loss

The A’s (20-25) dropped a tough one against the Marlins on Tuesday night, 11-9. In addition to dropping yet another game in the standings, the A’s lose starting pitcher Jesse Hahn to an injury that is being described as a strain in his right triceps.

Oakland also witnessed Yonder Alonso get hit hard on his right wrist in the bottom of the 6th inning. He fell to the ground in pain, but eventually decided to stay in the game.

The A’s offense was a bit of Jekyll and Hyde tonight.

They did manage to score 9 runs, but did so on only 8 hits.
