OAKLAND, Calif. – The Oakland A’s have recalled right-handed pitcher Aaron Brooks from Triple-A Nashville and optioned infielder Max Muncy to Nashville, the team announced Friday.
Brooks joins the A’s for the second time this year and is scheduled to start Saturday’s game in Arizona. He was 1-1 with a 6.19 ERA in four games, three starts, in his first stint. He was optioned Aug. 15 and was 1-0 with a 2.25 ERA in two starts for the Sounds.
The rookie will pitch for the A's Saturday with Felix Doubront getting pushed back to Monday. Chris Bassitt will now pitch Tuesday.
