A’s reassign nine players to minor league camp, roster now at 54

MESA, Ariz. — The A’s reassigned nine players to their minor-league camp on Sunday, trimming their roster down to 54.

Six are players with at least some major league experience, led by left-handed starter Felix Doubrant, who is 31-26 over 118 games (85 starts) with four big league teams and infielder Max Muncy, a .195 hitter over 215 at-bats with the A’s.

Also reassigned were right handed pitcher Tyler Sturdevant also had a 3.93 ERA in 16 relief appearances last year for Tampa Bay, outfielder Josh Lambo (95 big-league at-bats, including one with the A’s last year) and infielders Josh Rodriguez (12 at-bats for Pittsburgh in 2011) and Jermaine Curtis (three at-bats for St.
