A’s, Rajai Davis taking on Indians in Mesa

MESA, Ariz. - Oakland hasn’t had the easiest draw the first week of the Cactus League season. The A’s opened at the world champion Cubs, faced another playoff team Monday when they played the Giants at Scottsdale, and Tuesday, they are playing host to the AL champion Indians.

The subplot of the day: Rajai Davis, the A’s new center fielder, hit one of the biggest homers in Cleveland history last fall in Game 7 of the World Series. He’s in the lineup and leading off for Oakland on Tuesday.

“You don’t see that very often,” Cleveland manager Terry Francona said of Davis’ homer.
