The A’s placed starting pitcher Kendall Graveman on the 10-day disabled list Monday and recalled catcher Bruce Maxwell from Triple-A Nashville.
The A’s, according to a news release, said Graveman has a shoulder strain. He exited his last start after 74 pitchers and said he felt “tightness all over” and had issues loosening up on a chilly night.
It’s possible, with the new 10-day DL, Graveman could miss just one start. He’s 2-0 with a 200 ERA in three starts and also went on the DL in 2015, missing the final month with an oblique strain.
