OAKLAND -- As A's reliever Blake Treinen nears the end of his first month back in the green and gold, he's settled in nicely at the back of the A's bullpen.
Through 14 appearances with the A's, Trienen has given up two earned runs in 14 1/3 innings, good for a 1.26 ERA. He's also struck out 15 and opponents are hitting .163 against him. Manager Bob Melvin has liked what Treinen has provided in whatever inning he throws.
"We've seen him in any number of roles," Melvin said. "We'll bring him in in leverage situations in the seventh.
