ARLINGTON, Texas – After waiting a bit to consider their options after Friday’s loss to the Rangers, the A’s have decided to move Jesse Hahn into the fifth starter spot demoting Raul Alcantara into the bullpen as the long man.
Hahn pitched six innings of relief in which he allowed two runs Friday after Alcantara allowed eight runs in two innings of his first start of the year. Hahn will start the final game of the road trip Thursday in Kansas City while Alcantara could be ready to pitch if needed as soon as Monday when the series against the Royals begins.
