OAKLAND — Manager Bob Melvin will be plenty busy running things from the dugout Friday night when the Athletics face the Kansas City Royals at the Coliseum, but figures he’ll know about midway through his game what happened between the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 4 of the NBA Finals.
Next door at Oracle Arena will be a Warriors watch party. It will no doubt become raucous and likely be accompanied by fireworks in the event of a third Warriors championship in four seasons.
“Do they win tonight? There’s no doubt they’ll win tonight, and I’m sure we’ll hear the reaction right around 8:30, 8:45 maybe, something like that.
