TORONTO — The A’s are still awaiting the results on Andrew Triggs’ MRI, but they are already certain it will require a stint on the disabled list.
Triggs was placed on the 10-day disabled list with what the club described as right arm nerve irritation. Feeling a tingling sensation from right middle finger to thumb throughout Thursday’s start against the Blue Jays, he called for the trainers with one out in the third after he went 2-0 to Justin Smoak and departed the game.
Manager Bob Melvin said Triggs will go see a doctor Saturday after flying back to Oakland Friday morning.
