A’s, Khris Davis avoid arbitration with one-year deal

The Oakland Athletics and slugger Khris Davis have reportedly avoided arbitration after coming to terms with a new contract for the 2018 season. The Athletics announced the deal via Twitter on Wednesday.

Khrush will be khrushing in 2018. We have agreed to terms with outfielder/designated hitter Khris Davis on a one-year contract. His 85 homers over the past two season are the most in the league behind Giancarlo Stanton (86). #RootedInOakland pic.twitter.com/hxs2NgB74D

The terms of the deal have not been reported by the organization at this time, but FanRag’s Jon Heyman reported via Twitter that the deal is worth somewhere close to $10.
