OAKLAND – Friday was one of the longest days of Marcus Semien’s baseball career, bug by the end of is he could see the beginning of the end of this time on the disabled list.
Up at 4 a.m. to fly from the Bay Area to Southern California, Semien had what he hopes to be the last in a series of CT scans on his fracture right wrist. The scan showed that the fracture had healed so Semien has been cleared to live life without a cast.
He flew back to the Bay Area, went right to the Coliseum and for the first time since the April 1 surgery walked into the A’s clubhouse without a cast.
