CLEVELAND – News that Sean Doolittle will make his first injury rehabilitation appearance on a mound Friday for Class-A Stockton gives the A’s hope that the left-hander will be back somewhere between the 10th and 15th of June.
Doolittle hasn’t thrown a pitch for the A’s in May because of a left shoulder strain, but the work he’s done on the side lately has the A’s optimistic that he’s healthy again. And health will always been an issue for Doolittle, who has missed large chunks of the last two seasons with injuries.
The A’s will probably want Doolittle to throw at least three and perhaps as many as five times on injury rehab before returning to active status.
