KANSAS CITY, Mo. - One of the more high-profile A’s of recent vintage returns to the Coliseum on Friday for the first time since his departure.
Josh Reddick, the right fielder for Oakland’s 2012-14 playoff teams, will be back with the Astros for the weekend series, his first-ever appearance against his old team.
“I’m sure he’ll get a warm reception in Oakland,” A’s second baseman Jed Lowrie said. “I think I got booed when I came back as an Astro, but Red was in a different category. He was very much a fan favorite and had a good relationship with those right-field bleacher creatures.
