OAKLAND – As was the case again Monday night, the A’s haven’t always been hurt by the errors they are making.
Center fielder Rajai Davis was charged with an error on a fifth inning throw to the infield that got away from shortstop Adam Rosales. Two runs had already scored in the inning and two more would score, so all the runs were earned.
It’s been like that. The Oakland total for 16 games is 13 errors, and only eight unearned runs have been scored. Even so, the errors contribute to the club’s 5-8 record even when runs being scored against the A’s are earned.
