HOUSTON - Emilio Pagan hasn’t gotten off to the start he’d like with his new team after coming to the A’s in an offseason deal with Seattle.
But the reliever said Saturday that he believes he spotted an issue with his delivery that has contributed to his 5.68 ERA, four homers allowed and a .327 opponents’ batting average.
“I looked at some video from early in spring and made some minor adjustments that should help with extension to the plate and a little bit of deception,” Pagan said. “The biggest struggle has been that I’ve probably thrown too many ‘good’ strikes - not enough at the bottom of the zone or top of the zone.
