ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. –The A’s reportedly will have a new face in the clubhouse come Friday in Tropicana Field before they take on the Tampa Bay Rays, outfielder Jaycob Brugman.
The rookie got the news that he would be flying to join the A’s in the wake of Nashville’s four-pitcher no-hitter Wednesday night in Omaha, according to a tweet from Kelsie Heneghan, who writes for @milb.
Brugman and left-handed reliever Sean Doolittle, one of the four pitchers who had a hand in the no-hitter, were to fly from Omaha to Florida to join the A’s for the four-game series that starts Friday.
